The Unveiling: Jesus is YHWH

Jesus is YHWH

Extended: The veil lifted

“Jesus Christ”

We are the joy that was set before him, His children that would call on him and look to him. -Hebrew 12

Recap

Last devotion we spoke about just how much the father has highly exalted his son Jesus , giving him possession of all of his honor, glory and power. We looked at the striking resemblance between the fundamental questions of life: Who, What, Where, When, Why  and the name Yhwh. How both are intertwined with the gospel of God Revealing his firstborn:  Jesus Christ.

I wanted to provide an extended revelation for devotion 1  of Jesus being YHWH, before I jump into the 2nd devotion: Jesus is the Beginning and the End.

The veil lifted: revelation

The name YHWH in ancient hebrew, has special picture meanings for each modern Hebrew letter. The meaning of these reveals the signature of Our Savior.

The Y =  Arm and closed hand (Hand)-

The H= Reveal (Behold)-

The W= Tent Peg (Nail)-

The H= Reveal (Behold)-

John 20:27-28

Then Jesus said to Thomas, “Put your finger here and look at My hands. Reach out your hand and put it into My side. Stop doubting and believe.” 28 Thomas replied, “My Lord and my God!”

Isaiah 66:2

Has not My hand made all these things? And so they came into being, declares the LORD. This is the one I will esteem: he who is humble and contrite in spirit, who trembles at My word.

John 1

In the Beginning was the word and the word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. All things came to being through him and not one came to be without him.

Jesus Christ the eternal glory, in his being! Let’s keep steadfast in our faith, looking to Jesus, who has for us prepared promises just as his father had for him.

Isaiah 62:8-11

The LORD has sworn by His right hand and by His mighty arm:

“Never again will I give your grain to your enemies for food,

nor will foreigners drink the new wine for which you have toiled.

For those who harvest grain will eat it and praise the LORD, and those who gather grapes will drink the wine in My holy courts.”

Go out, go out through the gates; prepare the way for the people!

Build it up, build up the highway; clear away the stones!

Raise a banner for the nations to see.

Behold, the LORD has proclaimed to the ends of the earth,

“Say to Daughter Zion:

See, your Savior comes!

Look, His reward is with Him,

and His repayment goes before Him.”

Hebrews 3:6

But Christ is faithful as the Son over God’s house. And we are His house, if we hold firmly to our confidence and the hope of which we boast.
