The Unveiling: Jesus Is the Beginning and The End

The Beginning and The End

The Alpha and The Omega

The First and The Last

Jesus Christ

Revelation 21:6

And He told me, “It is Done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give freely from the spring of the water of life.

In this devotion, we will be examining the preeminence of Christ a bit deeper. The Eternal majesty of God the Father truly knows no bounds. in this edition, I want to share with you the excitement of this revelation.

So Let’s go on a journey! …

The First words in the bible are:

In the Beginning God created The Heavens and The Earth. (Genesis)

The Last words in the Bible are:

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. (Revelation)

Brothers and Sisters, we have the first letter of the Holy Bible which is the  “I” and the last letter of the holy bible which is the “N”.

  •  The I and N – The beginning letter, and the ending letter of God’s word.

The letter I can also look like a One, like the number (1) that means both One and First (the Beginning), and the Letter N has a play in pronounciation like the phrase End. Amazingly enough in the greek script, the name of Jesus actually begins with greek symbols that look identical to the english I and N, Even though it’s a completely different language.

Now that’s pretty awesome! – We have these two Letters translated in two completely different languages and flawlessly representing the Son of God.

Let’s think of some cool words that describe Jesus and has the word IN within them. 🙂

  • Jesus is the True Vine
  • Jesus is the King of Kings
  • His Kingdom is Invincible
  • Worship Jesus in his Holiness

(feel free to add by commenting on this section!)

After having a little fun with the word IN., Let’s grab our scuba gear and how about we dive a little deeper and have some more adventure with the word of god?! In the founding hebrew script of our old testament the holy bible starts with the hebrew letter “B” for the word Berasheath. This word Berasheath literally means “In the Beginning”.

Hebrew B = ב

And in the hebrew script of the new testament the bible ends with the hebrew Letter N for the word  Amen. (even in the greek translation of the new testament it ends in the greek letter N – Click Here)

Hebrew N = ן (Ending form of the hebrew letter N – appears at the end of the word)  = נ (First form of the hebrew letter N – appears anywhere in the word except end)

       †

Hebrew is written right to left, so that’s why the last letter is at the end on the right.

Strong’s Concordance H543: Amen

The “B” and the “N” that start and finish the hebrew script of our Old Testament, when combined actually mean the word “SON”

What’s very interesting about this is that The Words Beginning and End can form the hebrew word “BEN”. In the statement “I am the Beginning and The End” Jesus is therefore declaring that he is The (BEN) Son. That is really awesome.

Just when you thought it couldn’t get any better-> The B in hebrew can actually  be used as a prefix and when it is, it means “IN” Hence why the english bible begins with the word IN – Because in hebrew it’s representing the hebrew letter B as the opening to In the Beginning.

Something very interesting about this letter is that it shares the same look and structure as a cornerstone.

Now The cornerstone (foundation stone or setting stone) is the first stone set in the construction of the foundation. This is very important since all other stones will be set in reference to this stone, thus determining the position of the entire structure.

This B that is the very first letter of the hebrew Old Testament ( The founding script of our Holy Bible) It is the second letter in the Hebrew AlphaBet. It is the Root letter to the words “In the Beginning” (Berasheath) and “Son”(Ben). When God instructed Moses to write Genesis of the Torah(First 5 books of our Holy Bible), He was revealing the position and authority of his Son Jesus to Moses. The First of all creation.

The Position granted to the Son was Chief. He was created as Head over all creation, The firstborn, Head over all of the Words of God(creation)- As he himself says; heaven and earth may pass away but my words will never pass away. Thus us, his children exists as the Living Words of God. Whom Jesus is the King, Our Redeemer – The FirstBorn. Whom we are co-heirs to the promises of God.

Along this journey of discovering that Jesus is The Son of The Living God. My heart was yearning for even more identity to be discovered in the children of God. and so many times we have this revelation of Sons, but what about the Daughters? And The Holy Spirit took me even deeper into this revelation.

Psalm 144:12 May our sons flourish in their youth like well-nurtured plants. May our daughters be like graceful pillars, carved to beautify a palace.

Ruth 4:15 He will renew your life and sustain you in your old age. For your daughter-in-law,who loves you and is better to you than seven sons, has given him birth.”

Isaiah 62:11 ‘Behold, the Lord has proclaimed to the end of the World, Say to the daughter of Zion, Behold, your salvation comes; behold, his reward is with him, and his wages before him’.

Zephaniah 3:14 Sing for joy, O daughter of Zion; shout aloud, O Israel! Be glad and rejoice with all your heart, O’ daughter of Jerusalem!

To you O’ Daughters of the Living One – Behold Jesus Christ -Your King Reigns in all Majesty bringing to light all mysteries – Now my sisters, here is the revelation:    The same letter “B” in hebrew is also the root letter for the word “BTH” which in Hebrew means Daughter and is  made up of Two hebrew Letters – (B)(TH) – בַּת

It is also the first and last letter of the word Berasheath(Genesis/In The beginning) that we discovered earlier on in this study.

As this revelation for daughters comes to light, I want to emphasize how important it is to treat one another as the Co-Heirs of life.

And as Co-heirs in our cohesion, we should be serving each other and not lording it over one another, just as Jesus Christ himself has said. Because what this means is if we are not treating one another as co-heirs then we are not honoring God according to the promise.  Inasmuch as the promise is for Sons, it is as much for Daughters as well. Both sharing in the Abundance of Life in Jesus Christ.

Romans 8:16-17

The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. And if we are children, then we are heirs: heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ–if indeed we suffer with Him, so that we may also be glorified with Him.

Treasury of Scripture (The Chief Cornerstone)

Isaiah 28:16

So this is what the Lord GOD says: “See, I lay a stone in Zion, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation; the one who believes will never be shaken.

1 Corinthians 3:11

For no one can lay a foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ.

John 14:6

Jesus answered, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

Colossians 1- The Supremacy of Christ

16 For in Him all things were created, things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities. All things were created through Him and for Him. 17 He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. 18 And He is the head of the body, the church; He is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in all things He may have the preeminence.

Revelation 1:5 – The First Born

and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To Him who loves us and has released us from our sins by His blood.

Revelation 3:14 – The Faithful And True Witness

To the angel of the church in Laodicea write: These are the words of the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of God’s creation.

  • The Faithful and True Witness – Because he was in the beginning with God
  • The Amen – Because it is finished through him.
  • The Beginning of God’s Creation – Because God Created him First.

How fitting it is that the K-in-g of our M-in-d is Jesus Christ! The King of Glory.
